The Chocolate Hills

Bohol has over one thousand hills, but only two have been developed into resorts of any kind, Carmen and Sagbayan Peak.

Carmen, in the far interior of Bohol, is one of those two locations. The resort there is on the site of the original viewing station, the Chocolate Hills Complex in Carmen, about three miles from the actual town of Carmen and Sagbayan Peak. Carmen is around 30 miles from Tagbilaran City.

Sagbayan Peak is a mountain resort in Sagbayan, about 45 miles northwest of Tagbilaran City and 10 miles from Carmen’s Chocolate Hills Complex. There is an overlook on a ridge there that allows a nice view of the Chocolate Hills and of the sea on Bohol’s west coast. The resort sits on five hectares of mountain top.

Both resort has a restaurant, rooms, a swimming pool, children playground and a overlook deck raised more than 200 feet above the ground there.
